Central Drugs Pharmacy is seeking a clinically strong and growth-oriented Staff Pharmacist for our Fullerton location. We are an innovative independent pharmacy known for personalized patient care, operational excellence, and advanced non-sterile compounding services.

This position is ideal for a pharmacist who wants to practice at a higher level, expand clinical expertise, and actively participate in compounding as part of daily workflow.

Position Summary
The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for prescription verification, patient counseling, regulatory compliance, and active participation in compounding operations. Compounding and final verification of compounded preparations are core components of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify all prescriptions with strict attention to accuracy and patient safety
• Perform and supervise non-sterile compounding in accordance with USP standards
• Conduct final verification of compounded preparations, including formula accuracy, calculations, and documentation review
• Provide comprehensive patient counseling for both standard and compounded medications
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Maintain accurate compounding logs and documentation
• Support efficient workflow while upholding high clinical standards
• Monitor reimbursement and assist with maintaining prescription profitability
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels, including compounding ingredients
• Support training and development of pharmacy technicians and compounding staff
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
• Active California Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum two years pharmacist experience preferred
• Compounding experience preferred; training available for motivated candidates
• Strong clinical judgment and mathematical accuracy for compounding calculations
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation standards
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods, perform compounding activities, and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
