POSITION: Pharmacy Clerk

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Store Manager 

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time

Responsible for:
This position is responsible for greeting pharmacy customers, handling customer needs,
accurate handling of cash and charge transactions using computer terminals, accurate
mailing of prescriptions, assisting in front end ordering and working with all department
team members maitaining a clean work location mopping, dusting ext. This position is also responsible for accurately handling prescription
processing in a timely manner and prescriptions drug inventory is maintained. These
should include increasing knowledge base for all medications dispensed by Central Drugs
and able to accurately process all prescriptions via insurance and handle all insurance
related problems.

Essential Functions:
1. Set up and maintain patient records.
2. Process prescriptions (at register only).
3. Call customers for medication reminders and answer incoming calls 
4. Order and handle retail supplies and inventory.
5. Handle cash transactions

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2. Detail oriented
3. Able to work with minimum supervision.
4. Excellent communication and listening skills (communicate with 3rd party payors &
customers)
5. Excellent problem solving skills.
6. Great organizing skills
7. Takes high initiative and always keep busy.
8. Highly motivated for getting results.
9. Customers should be able to approach to you.
